What 2 do & places 2 go in Melbourne, Australia, from a local's point of view!

Sexy Nightclub - THE LEXINGTON, GPO, Melbourne City Mall

* Classy place, pity about the music!
*
* Beautiful interior with enormous chandeliers & a soaring ceiling in the redeveloped GPO building rite on the mall; a huge suspended ball projected with a movie image on it, currently amusingly one of a burning log fire. Finally a place suitable 4 being very dressed up... or as smartly cool-casual as u like. I must wear a long formal gown here next time (which wouldn't fit most of da other Melbourne bars with their shabby slighty dirty attitude).
*
* Very crowded, mainly young with a few more sophisticated 30-sumthings, well dressed, cool, but many acting up- themselves & trying 2 show others up, especially young girls. I'm 1 of the tallest girls usually so I get bad looks often from them. A nice blondish Italian guy started chatting 2 get 2 know me. He was muscular (-nice), handsome, & well- spoken; then this short- skirted Asian tart of a girl came 2 try 2 chat him up a bit in the middle of our conversation. She was jealous of him pickin' me up & not her, obviously, coz he said he didn't know her at all. What a bitch! In da end, he said 2 me "Fuck her!" as we continued chatting. Another girl came 2 talk 2 me coz she liked my green flower print & satin dress & she was pleasant. Some of da men here r drop dead gorgeous but wouldn't go 4 me!
*
* There is a dancefloor in the adjoining room, "The Music Room", but da electro house sounded stupid, like farts, & crass. Soulful house, please! I left at 2am & needed a more chilled place 4 a drink; da girls were gettin' 2 catty. Went 2 nearby bar, Cookie - so relaxed, quirky music, & by then the bitch tarts on Saturdays had moved on 2 crowded clubs. Great place 4 a martini... & kind staff with stylishly individual people. Need 2 get back 2 da lounge room at Seven niteclub again soon 4 my fix. Tah tah, luvlees!

Thanks for dropping by and leaving a comment.

I more than understand the purpose of the moosehead in the bar. I just dont like it or what such adornments often represent. It's nothing to do with being design ignorant.

But if we're having digs, I'd look to your blog for design and aesthetic slip ups.
